Temptation

Sermon synopsis: (A) We need to live pure and holy lives.

1 Thess 4:7 “For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.”

(1) Choose a lifestyle that keeps you from temptation and sin.

(2) Find one or two people that you can be accountable to.

(3) Be wise

(B) Be pure with things and money
(C) Choose to follow God radically.
(D) Stand up for who you are in God

There are 3 phases to temptation:
(1) thoughts
(2) entertaining the thought
(3) acting out the sin when the opportunity arises

There are 3 ways to deal with temptation:
(1) Avoid
(2) Resist
(3) Flee
