When we look at any doctrinal matter, we need always to go to the beginning.
Thus the TESTIMONY of the Old Testament to the DEITY of CHRIST is of prime importance.
In view of the fact that the LORD HIMSELF said, “No MAN hath seen GOD at any time”, (John 1:18), and that “The only begotten SON (GOD) which is in the BOSOM of the FATHER, he hath declared him.” We need to ask ourselves the question as to who it was who appeared to Adam, Enoch, Abraham, Moses and many others in the Old Testament scriptures?
There can be no doubt that the person who appeared to them, claiming DEITY, could not have been the FATHER nor could it have been the HOLY SPIRIT.
Indeed it was none other than the person of the GODHEAD who was responsible for creating all that was visible and invisible.
