Our Sacrifice

Sermon synopsis: (1)Why did Jesus have to die? (2) Why did it have to be a blood sacrifice? (3) Why did He have to offer His flesh? (4) Why did it have to be a death on the cross? Couldn’t God have used a different way?

(1) Why did Jesus have to die? – His death was for our judgment.
(2) Why did it have to be a blood sacrifice? – His blood was for our justification.
(3) Why did He have to offer His flesh? – His flesh (the veil) gives us access into the presence of God.
(4) Why did it have to be a death on the cross? – Through the cross we find reconciliation to God and to one another.
