The Feast of Israel.
Daniel’s 70 weeks.
Daniel 9:24-27.
Seventy sevens are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place.
Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven sevens, and sixty-two sevens. It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. After the sixty-two ‘sevens, the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed. He will confirm a covenant with many for one seven. In the middle of the seven he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.
Daniel’s 70 weeks.
The 490 Biblical years, or seventy sevens are the time God has "determined" for His Holy City and His holy people Daniel 9:24. From Daniel 9:27 we see that there are seven years remaining out of those 490 years.

The Feast of Trumpets & the Day of Atonement.
The end of Daniel’s 69th week was marked with the Anointed One (Jesus Christ) been cut off.
The Feast of Trumpets marks the beginning of Daniel’s 70th week or the 7 year tribulation period starting with a 7 year treaty that the Anti-Christ enters into with Israel.
The Feast of Atonement marks end of this 7 year period, the final day of this age, a day of Judgement.
Great Tribulation starts midway through 7 year covenant.
Daniel 7:25. He will speak against the Most High and oppress his holy people and try to change the set times and the laws. The holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time, times and half a time.
Revelation 12:6. The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.
Revelation 13:5. The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise its authority for forty-two months.
Great Tribulation starts midway through 7 year covenant.
The Feast of Trumpets.
A special season known as ‘Teshuvah’ which in Hebrew means “to return or repent”, begins on the first day of the month of Elul and continues 40 days, ending with Yom Kippur.
Teshuvah begins on Elul 1 and concludes on Tishrei 10, Yom Kippur.
Each morning during the 30 days of the month of Elul, the trumpet (shofar) or ram’s horn is blown to warn the people to repent and return to God.
Thirty days into Teshuvah, on Tishrei 1, comes Rosh HaShanah. This begins a final ten-day period beginning on Rosh HaShanah and ending on Yom Kippur. These are known as the Days of Awe.
The Feast of Trumpets.
The Feast of Trumpets is the best fit for the rapture of the bride and is consistent with Jewish marriage customs.
We need to look at the Feast with Jewish eyes. The Jews had several idioms for the Feast of Trumpets that are significant in identifying the nature of this feast.
The feast was referred as “No one knows the day or hour”.
It was referred to this because it was celebrated by the first appearing of the moon. This could be difficult if there was any overcast, therefore, the feast could be delayed.
No one literally knew the day or hour it would be celebrated. If after two days the new moon could not be detected then it was celebrated. The two days were considered one. (unveilingthebride.com)
The Feast of Trumpets.
This feast was also referred to as the “Last Trumpet”.
It got this name because tradition has it that the trump or rams horn was blown for thirty days up till the feast and then the last trump was blown signalling the celebration of the feast.
This is reflected in Paul’s letter,
1 Cor. 15:51-52.
Behold, I tell you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet ; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.
The last trumpet is referring to the Feast of Trumpets and reveals the day of the resurrection of the Saints and catching away or rapture.
Blood Moons.
Luke 21: 25-28. And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”
Blood Moons.
Mark Biltz, is the author of “Blood Moons”, which describes the astronomical series of lunar eclipses, or tetrads, that occur this year and next on Jewish holy days.
When tetrads have occurred in the past on these holidays they have coincided with momentous events in the history of the Jewish people. The 1967 Six-Day War and the 1948 resurrection of the nation of Israel are two examples.
Mark Biltz also through research of Nasa’s data on eclipses, realised that there had not been 4 blood moons in a row in the 1600’s the 1700’s or the 1800’s, yet in the 1900’s there were these 2.

Blood Moons.
Joel 2:31 & Acts 2:20.
The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.
On April 15, 2014, there was a total lunar eclipse.
It was the first of four consecutive total eclipses (Tetrads) in a series.
It is one of eight tetrads during the 21st century AD. As with most eclipses, the moon appeared red during the April 15 eclipse.
The red color is caused by Rayleigh scattering of sunlight through the Earth's atmosphere, the same effect that causes sunsets to appear red.
Blood Moons.
Revelation 6:12-14.
I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. The heavens receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.
This I don’t believe refers to the blood moons we now see but are a wake up call pointing to what is to come.
Isaiah 24:1 & 23.
See, the Lord is going to lay waste the earth and devastate it; he will ruin its face and scatter its inhabitants……
The moon will be dismayed, the sun ashamed.

Comparison
The Lunar Calendar.
There is a 19 year astronomical cycle which has been used to make a very accurate solar-lunar calendar, it is known as a Metonic cycle.
Hillel's Hebrew calendar is based on this Metonic Cycle of 19 years = 235 lunar months.
It was discovered by the Greek mathematician, astronomer, geometer, and engineer Meton
Meton found that 19 solar years are almost equal to 235 lunar months.
This was valuable information for those who sought to create a lunar calendar that kept accurate time with the new moons and equinoxes.
The Lunar Metonic cycle.
Embolismal years are those years in which an extra (second) month of Adar, (a thirteenth month for that year), is inserted into lunar-solar Hebrew calendar.
These Embolismal years take place in 7 of the years in the 19 year Metonic cycle, ie: 3, 6, 8, 11, 14, 17, 19.
The Lunar Metonic cycle.
Two or three months of Adar are added in to the Lunar calendar on a 7 year period in the 19 year Metonic cycle.
Starting at the 1st of Tishri and counting 2550 days (1260 days + 1290 days) will take you up to the 10th of Tishri (The Day of Atonement) in 2014 and 2017 in our present Metonic cycle.
The number of moons from Tishrei of a given year, to Tishrei 7 years later varies.
It may be 7 x 12 = 84 Moons
plus 2 extra embolismal Adar 2 moons = 86 MOONS.
Or it may be 7 x 12 =84
plus 3 extra embolismal Adar 2 moons = 87 MOONS.
Those seven year spans containing 86 MOONS match up perfectly the time-span between the next two Feasts of Israel that are due for fulfilment.
Great Tribulation starts midway through 7 year covenant.
One or two months of Adar are added in to the Lunar calendar on a 7 year period in the 19 year Metonic cycle.
The Metonic cycle adds an extra month of Adar in 7 of the years of the 19 years of the cycle. Starting at the 1st of Tishri and counting 2550 days (1260 days + 1290 days) will only take you up to the 10th of Tishri (The Day of Atonement) in a
The 7 year covenant.
In these 7 year cycles from Tishri 1 to Tishri 1.
There are only 86 moons (2540 days)
The Lunar Mean Synodic Month from New Moon to New Moon is 29.530588 days.
29.530588 days x 86 moons is 2539.63 days and adding on the 10 days to take you up to The Day of Atonement (2550)
Daniel 12:912.
He replied, Go your way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed until the time of the end. Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand. From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days.

Daniel’s 70th week.
2 Thessalonians 2:3-12. Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God. Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendour of his coming. The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

Daniel 9:27.
He will confirm a covenant with many for one seven. In the middle of the seven he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.
Matthew 24:15-21.
So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation, spoken of through the prophet Daniel let the reader understand then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house. Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great distress, unequalled from the beginning of the world until now and never to be equalled again.
The Feast of Trumpets.
Matthew 24:37-41.
As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away.
That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
The Day of Atonement.
The Rapture differs from the event recorded previously in Matthew, as in this case the elect are not changed in the twinkling of an eye and caught up to meet the Lord, but are gathered from the four corners of the earth by Angels.
Matthew 24:29-31.
Immediately after the distress of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken. Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
One explanation for the Angels having to gather the Elect after the Tribulation, is that unlike the Raptured saints, they still have their earthly bodies and will need assistance as the earth and it’s transportation systems have been devastated.
The 1st Principles (Basic Doctrines)
Hebrews 6:1-3.
Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this we will do if God permits.
Understanding the Doctrines of the Resurrection of the dead and Judgement that awaits each one of us is crucial and foundational as a Christian and it helps to understand future events more clearly.
The Resurrection.
The Resurrection, it is likened to the
The Jewish harvest has 3 phases:
The first fruits. Matthew 27:51-53.
The main harvest. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17.
The gleanings. Revelation 20:4-6.
The Resurrection.
The first fruits
Matthew 27:51-53.
At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life.
They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people.
The Resurrection.
The main harvest.
1 Thessalonians 4:15-17.
According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
The Feast of Trumpets.
The Gleanings.
Revelation 20:4-6. I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge.
And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
(The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.
Judgements to consider
Judgement of sin at the cross
Self-judgement of the believer
Judgement seat of Christ
Judgement of the Nations
Judgement of Israel
Judgement of fallen angels
Great White Throne Judgement
Judgement of sin at the cross
Isaiah 53 v 6 to 8
We all like sheep have gone astray each of us has turned to his own way and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all, he was oppressed and afflicted yet he did not open his mouth he was led as a lamb to the slaughter and as a sheep before her shearers is silent so he did not open his mouth by oppression and judgement he was taken away…….for the transgression of my people he was stricken.
The self-judgement of the believer
1Corinthians 11 v 31 & 32
A man ought to examine himself…..
but if we judged ourselves we would not come under judgement when we are judged by the Lord we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned with the world
The Judgement seat of Christ
11 Corinthians 5 v10
We must all appear before the Judgement seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for things done while in the body, whether good or bad.
1 Corinthians 3 v 10-13
The Judgement of Israel
Ezekiel 20 v 33 to 44
As surely as I live declares the Sovereign Lord, I will rule over you with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with outpoured wrath. I will bring you from the nations and gather you from the countries where you have been scattered with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with outpoured wrath. I will bring you into the desert of the nations and there, face to face, I will execute judgement upon you………
Judgement of the Nations
Matthew 25 v 31 to 46
When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and He will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats
The Great White Throne Judgement
Judgement of the wicked
Revelation 20 v 11 to 25.
Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.
And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
Will a loving God judge man
For those we believe God will not Judge man for his sin and wickedness here are some points to ponder.
